What was paradise is now poisoned, with thousands of square kilometers of land still mined and contaminated by war's toxins. 🔴⚫️ Пшениця, колись символ родючості і достатку, тепер несе наслідки війни. Отруйні хімікати, міни та вибухи перетворили родючі землі України на поле битви. Те, що було раєм, стало отруєним, і досі тисячі квадратних кілометрів землі залишається замінованими та забрудненими токсинами війни.

Red Suns | Червоні Сонця
Sunflowers, once vibrant yellow, have turned red. Their color no longer represents joy but reflects the pain that has gripped the land. Yet, even in this state, the flowers remain a symbol of hope, holding the potential for the earth's eventual healing and the return of their golden hue. 🔴⚫️ Соняхи, колись яскраво-жовті, стали червоними. Їхній колір більше не символізує радість, а відображає біль, що охопив землю. Але навіть у такому стані ці квіти залишаються символом надії, несучи в собі можливість зцілення землі й повернення її золотого відтінку.

Цей контраст уособлює трагедію мільйонів українців, вимушених покинути свої домівки через російську агресію, що нищить не лише будинки, але й саме поняття дому.

Dolphin’s Cry: Silent Ecocide | Плач дельфіна: Тихий екоцид
This painting is a visual representation of the ecological disaster in the Black Sea caused by Russian aggression. Military actions, such as explosions, the use of sonar, water pollution, mining, and oil spills from Russian vessels, have led to the mass death of dolphins – over 50,000 individuals. Survivors are often injured and disoriented, losing their ability to survive. Dolphins are key regulators of the marine ecosystem, maintaining its natural balance. Their mass death disrupts this balance, accelerating the degradation of the Black Sea. 🔴⚫️ Ця картина – візуальне відображення екологічної катастрофи в Чорному морі, спричиненої російською агресією. Військові дії, такі як вибухи, використання гідролокаторів, забруднення , мінування та розлив мазуту з російських суден, призвели до масової загибелі дельфінів – понад 50 000 особин. Ті, що вижили, часто контужені та дезорієнтовані, втрачаючи здатність до виживання. Дельфіни – ключові регулятори морської екосистеми, що підтримують її природний баланс. Їхня масова загибель руйнує цей баланс, прискорюючи деградацію Чорного моря.

The work is based on the real story of a dog named Krym, who survived a missile strike that destroyed the house and took the lives of the entire family of a Ukrainian soldier: his wife, two children, and mother-in-law, while he was serving on the front lines. This piece draws attention to the suffering of animals during wartime. Krym suffered a concussion and lost his hearing but fought for his life for another month and a half before his heart stopped. His image symbolizes the losses among animals, who, like humans, become victims of war. 🔴⚫️ В основі роботи — реальна історія пса на ім’я Крим, який вижив після ракетного обстрілу, що знищив будинок та забрав життя всієї родини українського військового: його дружини, двох дітей та матері дружини, поки він перебував на фронті. Ця робота привертає увагу до страждань тварин у воєнний час. Крим отримав контузію та втратив слух, але ще півтора місяця боровся за життя, перш ніж його серце зупинилося. Його образ символізує втрати серед тварин, які, так само як і люди, стають жертвами війни.

Language: Through the Centuries | Мова: Крізь століття
This painting is a visual interpretation of the centuries-long struggle for Ukrainian identity. Since 1720, when Peter I banned Ukrainian-language printing, the language has faced systemic suppression as part of an imperial strategy to erase national consciousness. In the 19th century, this escalated through decrees banning Ukrainian in education, publishing, and public life. The 20th-century Soviet regime intensified these efforts — erasing the language from education, science, and culture, and repressing the intelligentsia, especially during the 1932–1933 Holodomor. Another wave of Russification followed in the 1960s. Since 2014, Russia’s war and occupation have brought continued bans, renaming, destruction of culture, and forced Russian-language dominance in parts of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk. Centuries of Russification and propaganda severed many Ukrainians from their native tongue. Yet Ukrainian endures. Every word is a declaration of dignity, memory, and the right to exist. Speaking Ukrainian is not only communication but also an act of resistance. Every word in our native language affirms our dignity, the preservation of historical memory for future generations, and the fight for the right to be ourselves. 🔴⚫️ Ця картина є візуальною інтерпретацією багатовікової боротьби за українську ідентичність. З 1720 року, коли Петро І заборонив друк книжок українською мовою, почалося систематичне витіснення української. Ця політика мовного стирання стала послідовним інструментом імперської стратегії зі знищення національної свідомості. У XIX столітті Російська імперія посилила ці заходи, ухваливши низку указів, що забороняли використання української мови в освіті, друці та публічному житті. У XX столітті ці утиски ще більше загострилися в умовах радянського режиму. Українську мову систематично витісняли з освіти, науки та культури. Репресії проти української інтелігенції, знищення мовного середовища — у тому числі під час Голодомору 1932–1933 років — стали частиною цілеспрямованої політики русифікації. У 1960-х роках розпочалася нова хвиля витіснення мови. Після 2014 року, з анексією Криму та початком війни на сході України, політика знищення української мови й культури на окупованих територіях лише посилилася. Заборони, зміна топоніміки, руйнування культурних пам’яток і нав’язування російської мови як основної тривають і сьогодні — зокрема на окупованих частинах Херсонської, Запорізької, Донецької та Луганської областей. Сотні років русифікації, посилені впливом російських медіа та державної пропаганди, призвели до втрати зв’язку з рідною мовою для багатьох українців. Проте попри тиск і насильство українська мова збереглася. Кожне слово українською — це підтвердження гідності, збереження пам’яті та боротьба за право бути собою.
